Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship

Who's eligible? Any student who is in a graduate or professional degree program in a marine or aquatic-related field at a U.S. accredited institution of higher education.

Deadline: Feb. 19, 2010 [Knauss Fellowship applications must be submitted to the Sea Grant Director’s Office (102 Chase Ocean Engineering Laboratory, UNH ) by 5:00PM.]

Knauss Fellows spend one year (2/1-1/31) working in the Washington, DC, area in various capacities with the legislative and executive braches of the U.S. government.

National Marine Fisheries Service/Sea Grant Fellowship Program in Population Dynamics and Marine Resource Economics

Who's eligible? Any student who is a U.S. citizen and is enrolled in a relevant Ph.D. program in any university in the U.S. and its territories.

Deadline: Jan. 15, 2010

Four fellows, two in population dynamics and two in marine resource economics, will work on thesis problems of public interest and relevance and have summer internships under the guidance of a National Marine Fisheries Service mentor at participating NMFS science centers and laboratories.

Sea Grant Industry Fellowship Program

Who's eligible? Graduate students at U.S. academic institutions who are pursuing research and development projects on topics of interest to a particular industry/company.

Deadline:

Under the guidance of a faculty advisor, a Sea Grant representative and an industry representative, each fellow will pursue his or her research project.

NOAA Coastal Management Fellowship

Who's eligible? Any student who will have completed a master's, doctoral or professional degree in coastal, aquatic or environmental management related studies at any accredited university in the U.S.

Deadline: Sept.30, 2009 [Fellowship applications must be submitted to the Sea Grant Director’s Office (102 Chase Ocean Engineering Laboratory, UNH ) by 5:00PM.]

Coastal Management Fellows spend two years (starting in August) working on substantive state-level coastal resource management issues that pertain to federal management policies and regulations.
